As you browse along your NewsFeed, you’ll usually come across posts that
somehow don’t appear to be from anyone of your Facebook friends.
Looking closely, you’ll find that these aren’t actually posts from
people, but rather advertisements slid in between your News Feed
section. These ads can sometimes be annoying as it consumes space on
your Facebook stream that should be for posts from your friends. One
good way to get rid of these random ads is by blocking it from your
Facebook.
Steps:
1) Log into your Facebook account.Open a web browser on your computer and visit Facebook. You can also access Facebook using its mobile app by tapping its app icon from the screen of your phone or tablet.
2) Find an advertisement to block.After logging into your account, you’ll be taken to your Facebook’s News Feed page. Scroll down the page and find a post labeled as “Sponsored.” Sponsored posts are advertisements on Facebook.
3) Block advertisements on Facebook.Tap the down arrow icon, or the close “X” button, on the top right-hand corner of the sponsored post, and a pop-up menu will appear. Click or tap “I don’t want to see this” from the pop-up menu, and that ad will be removed from your Facebook
4) Tell your reason for blocking. If you want to send a feedback to Facebook on why you decided to block the ad, click the “Why don’t you want to see this?” link that will appear as soon as you remove the advertisement from your Facebook. A small window called “What can you do?” will appear where you can choose from the five reasons why you want to block the post:
