PayPal has announced an improved Buyer Protection plan today which includes intangible items for consumers in India when dealing with international transactions.
The Buyer Protection would cover things like services and digital goods such as tickets, digital music, digital books, downloaded games and software. PayPal’s research shows that consumers in India are unsure of buying services online for the fear of counterfeits or incorrect/missing deliveries.
Now it means that users can buy things off the Internet protected by PayPal’s risk management and unauthorised transaction policy. With the Indian public getting more comfortable with buying digital goods and services online this added security measure could give Paypal more visibility in the Indian markets.
